Resveratrol is basically a supplement that is found in skin of red grapes, red wine, and berries. It is mainly used to treat cancer and heart diseases. Resveratrol is produced by plants when under attack from viruses such as bacteria and fungi. Most of the mouse experiments have indicated it has anti cancer and anti inflammatory properties. But these tests are yet to be replicated in humans.
How to take Resveratrol
Resveratrol is sold as a nutritional supplement which is mainly derived from Japanese knotweed. Before using resveratrol, one should consult his doctor regarding any information related to medicine. One should tell the doctor if he is taking any medicine or is allergic to any medicine, if one is pregnant or planning to be pregnant or if suffering from any health problems. The amount of dosage of resveratrol depends upon the reason for which one is taking resveratrol. If one is taking resveratrol from over the counter then they should follow the directions clearly and should never consume more than required.
One should stop taking the medicine right away if he is suffering from side effects such swelling on the face and hands, chest tightness, allergic reaction or rash.
